Now that you are preparing to test for your black belt, how has your view of Ninjutsu changed?
I'm starting to see the big picture of ninjutsu as a complete system, rather than as individual techniques. The more techniques that are learned have shown me that ninjutsu gives you a flexible system to be used in whatever situation you find yourself in.
What has been the greatest benefit from your training?
The greatest benefit has been more self-confidence from overcoming obstacles in the training. Several parts of the training I once believed were insurmountable, but through perserverance were conquered.
What has been your biggest challenge?
The biggest challenge has been reaching this level with average ability and physical skills.
What advice would you give to a new student?
My advice to a new student would be to not try to rush things, but to steadily try to improve each week and consistently be at the dojo every week.
