STUDENT PROFILE

March 2008

Andrew Tinn, 19
9th Kyu

Why did you begin martial arts training?

When I was a kid I used to watch a lot of ninja turtles and I wanted to be like one. However, now I do it because it keeps me active and healthy. Plus, having some training gives you a sense of security and peace of mind.

Did you have any previous martial arts training before joining
CNC?

I did a year of Karate at YMCA. It looked sweet, but I didn't see how I could actually use it in real life...like Tae Bo.

What do you like the most about Ninjutsu?

The atmopshere. The people you around are always willing to help, and the training is pretty sweet too.

What has been the greatest benefit from your training?

People asking me "Really, you're training to become a ninja? I want to too!"

What has been your biggest challenge?

Remembering the details of a technique and how to keep those dynamics flowing.

What advice would you give to a new student?

Despite all the of stuff you see on television about ninjas, this is 10 times cooler. Be prepared for a work out, and you are going to feel a little pain.
