Why did you begin martial arts training?
I've always wanted to train in the martial arts. Now that I have the time and resources to do so, I jumped at the chance to learn ninjutsu. In addtion, I was seeking another way to be physically active outside of my normal weight lifting and exercise routine.
Did you have any previous martial arts training before joining CNC?
No formal training.
What do you like the most about ninjutsu?
Ninjutsu training is about more than just learning techniques to fight. It involves committing those techniques to muscle memory and eventually learning to just react based on past training and practice. To finally do a (previously) difficult technique without thinking is quite satisfying.
What has been the greatest benefit from your training?
Learning how to defend myself and others if needed.
What has been your biggest challenge?
When training, I have learned techniques that can apply to different situations. My biggest challenge is recognizing those situations and acting out the training I have received quickly.
What would you say to someone who is considering ninjutsu training?
Having no previous training, I was surprised at how easy it was to start learning ninjutsu. Both of the sensei and the students are very willing to help new students. |
