STUDENT PROFILE

January 2008

Travis Letcavits, 21
8th Kyu

Why did you begin martial arts training?

I really wanted effective combat training due to the violent state of the world today.

Did you have any previous martial arts training before joining
CNC?

I trained for about a year at a Taekwondo/Judo school and for a year and a half at a Moo Duk Kwan Taekwondo school. I also studied some other random stuff on my own.

What do you like the most about Ninjutsu?

This is what you would call a complete art. It's not watered down or lacking in any way. That's a very important, if next to impossible thing to find in an art.

What has been the greatest benefit from your training?

The ability to adapt in general. This might be fighting someone much larger, changing my persona, or even changing my mental state.

What has been your biggest challenge?

My biggest challenge was definitely fighting on the ground. I am a really small guy, so I had always been taught to keep my distance.

What advice would you give to a new student?

As with everything, you will get out of your training what you put into it.
