STUDENT PROFILE
April 2008
Brad Lauderback, 16
8th Kyu
Why did you begin martial arts training?
I have always had an interest in martial arts, and finding a Ninjutsu school was an awesome bonus.
Did you have any previous martial arts training before joining CNC?
I have 2 or 3 years of Karate. Didn't like it...was REALLY boring, slow, and gave a false sense of ability.
What do you like the most about Ninjutsu?
The joint locks and pressure points are awesome. Then there is the whole fact of being able to take on someone twice your size and not use a ton of your own muscle to get the job done.
What has been the greatest benefit from your training?
The knowledge. You learn so much about how the body works. It's AWESOME!!! Plus you make lots of good friends that you can practice with.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Normal basics...like punches. Always struggle with punches, I don't know why. But I make up for it in other areas.
What advice would you give to a new student?
Don't be afraid. You have to jump in and try it even if you don't think you can do it, or think you may get hurt. No oneis there to hurt you, and you'll have a great time whether you're successful at all of the techniques or not. It's always worth trying!
